Day cream and night cream: what differences?
Many of you must be wondering several times what the difference is between a day cream and a night cream for facial care. There are some creams suitable for both moments of the day, others more specific.
In general, during the day the skin suffers from sun rays, pollution and dehydration, therefore it needs sun protection, antioxidant and moisturizing substances; at night, on the other hand, the process of skin regeneration is reactivated and dead cells give way to young ones, which will be ready to receive 100% substances such as collagen and elastin, whose production is stimulated by nutrients. Day face creams usually have a moisturizing, protective and a light texture; night face creams are much more nutritious than the former, have a full-bodied texture and do not contain sunscreens.
This does not mean that a day cream cannot be used at night and vice versa; in this case, its action will simply be less effective. Moreover, there are day and night face creams valid at any time of the day and suitable for those who do not like to buy and use many cosmetics, whose formulation is a clever solution between the day and night needs of the skin.
The same goes for body creams: moisturizers are ideal for the day, specific ones with remodeling / firming action / etc. they will be better received by the skin during the night.
